Sad New Poll Shows Trump And Clinton Basically Tied In MissouriLast edited Tue Aug 23, 2016, 08:52 PM - Edit history (1)
Source: Huffington Post
The Show Me State went to Republican candidates in the last four presidential elections. Hillary Clinton is essentially tied with Donald Trump in red-tinted Missouri, according to a new poll. Clinton garners 43 percent support to Trump’s 44 percent among likely Missouri voters in a Monmouth University poll that has a margin of error of 4.9 percent. While the survey is strikingly bad news for Trump ― Missouri went for the Republican in each of the past four presidential contests ― it’s just one survey. Others show Trump ahead, and HuffPost Pollster tracking shows the conspiracy theorist-in-chief maintaining his advantage in the state. 2. All in all good news, considering the state has leaned Rethug since 2000.
Dubya won it by 3.3% in 2000 and 7.2% in '04; Obama nearly clinched it in '08 (lost by 0.1%), but then lost it by 9.4% the last time.
Given that trend, a tie sounds good. |

3. Not too bad.
I saw a map of where Southern Baptists live, and I was amazed that there's so many of them in Missouri. If Clinton is tied there, it bodes well for elsewhere.

4. and
and whats your point... this state went republican last 4 elections......so its going Rep. As much as we want Hillary to win every state and every electoral college vote, she is not.... we want her to win the big states, Missouri is 10 votes.

7. The point is that even one poll that shows them statistically tied is a very good thing
for a very red state.

20. Originally Huff Post announced that they would only be covering Trump as entertainment,
not as a serious political candidate.
But when they had no choice, they started adding that disclaimer. |
