Trump admits Obama born in U.S. but falsely blames Clinton for starting rumors

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday acknowledged for the first time that President Obama was born in the United States, ending his long history of stoking unfounded doubts about the nation’s first African-American president but also seeking to falsely blame Democratic rival Hillary Clinton for starting the rumors.

"Hillary Clinton and her campaign of 2008 started the birther controversy. I finished it. I finished it, you know what I mean," Trump said at his newly opened luxury hotel in Washington on Friday morning. "President Barack Obama was born in the United States. Period."

This is not the first time that Trump has accused Clinton of first raising questions about Obama's birthplace, an assertion that has been repeatedly disproven by fact-checkers who found no evidence that Clinton or her campaign questioned Obama's birth certificate or his citizenship.

“For five years, he has led the birther movement to delegitimize our first black president,” Clinton said on Friday, demanding that Trump apologize to Obama. "His campaign was founded on this outrageous lie. There is no erasing it in history."

They can decode his lies, it just isn't in their best interest to do so. The corporations that own them need to sell ad time, and they can only do that by making this a horse race. If they actually reported truth, tRump would be down 30 points. Media is there to entertain- nothing else. Especially true of TV media. by the team of invesigators he sent to Hawaii, right? He told us many, MANY times that they were finding out "unbelieveable stuff" about Obama. Well, where is it?

Here's how the media SHOULD HANDLE it:

Mr Trump, you claimed that you had sent a team of investigators to Hawaii to look into the president's birth record. You claimed that they were finding unbeliebeable, incredible evidence, supposedly to back your birther claims. Will you now release the evidence you averred they had found?

Then we conclude you were lying back then when you made those assertions, and we will conclude that you are acting like a huge coward with the answer you are offering today.

Can't believe hosts on CNN actually said point blank he was lying about Clinton starting birtherism and that he had already ended the controversy. Media is really pissed over his stunt of enticing them in to his new hotel and then subjecting them to a pro-Trump event followed by only a 1 minute statement with no opportunity for them to ask any questions.
