Clinton Maintains Lead Over Trump Despite Health Scare
Cameron Easley | September 18, 2016
Hillary Clinton remains the top choice for voters in the presidential race, rebounding from her brief health scare at a 9/11 ceremony a week ago. She is still leading Donald Trump by 2 percentage points among likely voters.
In a new Morning Consult survey conducted Sept. 15 and Sept. 16, Clinton leads the Republican nominee, 42 percent to 40 percent within the margin of error among likely voters, while 8 percent opted for Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson and 3 percent chose Green Party candidate Jill Stein.
Among registered voters, the Democratic nominee leads Trump by 1 point, 39 percent to 38 percent. And in a head-to-head matchup, Clintons lead over Trump swells to 4 points among both likely and registered voters. Last week, she only led Trump by 1 point among likely voters and 2 points among registered voters.
Both major-party candidates benefited slightly at the expense of Johnson, who dropped 2 points among likely voters since last week. Fridays announcement by the Commission on Presidential Debates that neither he nor Stein polled high enough to appear in the first debate on Sept. 26 will not help his case with the American electorate............................

(19,564 posts)They're strict on enforcing it right now.
Here's a link to it if you just kind of glanced at it and clicked "accept" without really reading it. I'd reread it and decide if the site is for you.

(19,564 posts)Right now, the owners are adamant about enforcing it, and the members by majority appear to agree.
If what you'd like to discuss falls within its parameters, though, you're fine. If you're about electing more Democrats, and less Republicans to office right this moment, and follow the guidelines provided, then it's golden. Just don't trash the nominees for any Dem seats, or any elected Democrats right now. Currently the primary goals here are taking the Senate back, and electing Hillary.

(19,564 posts)I think it would depend on how you word it. If you attack, people will attack back. If you present thoughtful concepts for discussion, and respect others opinions as well, it should be ok.
I can assure you people here do not all think alike. We're just more alike than we are different, and we've learned to respect each other (mostly) and work together toward electing Hillary and as many more Democrats as we can this election.
As a new member try and read about for a bit and get a feel for the place. If it's not for you there's bound to be one out there that suits you. Just stay active and work to keep Trump out of office.
If you decide you like the place and want to stay, welcome to DU!

Now, now--there's always that LA Times nationwide poll which could show her down by a gazillion points country wide vs tRump, and there's always that unbiased USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times Poll where they use R respondents here in California which could show her down by 10 points head-to-head (Even though tRump's being mauled by Hillary here in California)
