Evan McMullin Turns Racist Voicemail From Trump Supporter Into Campaign Ad

Source: Buzzfeed

Evan McMullin’s presidential campaign has taken a racist tirade recently left in a staffer’s voicemail inbox and turned it into a political ad highlighting the dangers of “Donald Trump’s America.”

The ad, which will air online in select markets, features a recording of a personal cell phone message campaign spokeswoman Rina Shah received after appearing on Fox News last Friday.

“You frothing, libtard piece of shit Islamic dog,” the caller, identified only as “Alan,” is heard saying in the ad, while a transcript of his rant runs along the bottom of the screen. “Vote for the pathological lying criminal you fucking piece of shit … and get out of our country … while you’re at it, got back and get fucked by your dirtbag Islamic terror scum friends. Slut.”

The campaign’s ad concludes with a warning: “Alan is a preview of Donald Trump’s America. We can do better.”

Is blasphemy, an insult to born-again Christianity, if the Mormons don't repent, and turn to the one true God, "They're all headed straight to Hell." At least that's what I was taught growing up in a Pentecostal, Evangelical, Assembly of God family. It's either one way or the other, or neither, you can't have it both ways. Bill Krystal is voting for him though, never mind the irony.

for 30 some years. It amazes me that Clinton has taken the constant pounding, vilifying, crass and crazy statements and constant surveillance for decades and remained so normal.

If for no other reason, I want Clinton to win just to watch the bullies whimper.

Using my betazoid skills, I'm picking up some hostility in the speaker. No, seriously. It's subtle, granted, but IMO present nevertheless.

I'm not hogwild about McMullin's campaign, to say the least. But it's probably good that people planning to vote for Trump-Pence hear how some of Trump's supporters speak and behave. I think most people planning to support the GOP ticket this fall would concede that if they chose to use language like Alan's in their respective workplaces, they would expect to be terminated. Or if they chose to speak in such a manner in a TSA check line, they would not realistically imagine they would be allowed to board their flight.

the practical problem with an empathy superpower in a television show is that it's an insult to the other actors if they need another actor to explain their emotions. usually she was stating the obvious. i'm picking up on some hostility -- yeah, thanks deanna, we'd be lost without you on that one, lol!

the one time it really mattered was when she "sensed deception and not helplessness" on the part of the pakleds and they completely ignored her warnings. that was the one time when she picked up on something no one else could have!

had this designated ability but viewers had kind of already covered the same ground. Oh well. She was cool just the same.

When things happened, the captain would often seek her counsel. Or, when Data was asked, he would attribute events to "subatomic fluctuations."

I pity the fool who would question Data on that topic.

15. yes, i think her role as "counselor" was her stronger suit anyway

that served a very useful dramatic purpose of allowing other people (picard, mostly) to vocalize their inner thought processes very naturally.

the empathy superpower in some ways was an unfortunate distraction. if she didn't have it, it would have been easier to see her just as an effective counselor, mediator, facilitator, etc.

and yeah. don't dance with data.

People need to hear it and they won't if it's HRC's voice at the beginning of the ad.
