Sen. McCaskill demands clinically overweight Trump lose some pounds

Last edited Wed Sep 28, 2016, 08:05 PM - Edit history (1)

Source: New York Daily News

They want him to be the biggest loser — in the presidential election and with his weight, too.

A group of female Democratic senators are demanding that Donald Trump — who during and following Monday night's debate doubled down on past misogynistic comments about a former Miss Universe winner's weight — attempt to lose some pounds himself.

"The D women Senators have talked & we're concerned about Donald's weight," Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) tweeted Wednesday.

"Campaign stress? We think a public daily weigh-in is called for," she added.

Maybe he needs to add some Hillary Shimmy to his work-out.

He was a M. President contestant and ultimately a second place finisher who they had a tremendously difficult time with as Mr Runner-up. He was the runner up, and you know he gained a massive amount of weight and it was a real problem. We had a real problem. Not only that, but his attitude, and we had a real problem with him.

We need to see him go through a full workout in the gym. Lots of cameras to film the whole thing. Let Elizabeth Warren provide commentary to needle him, and stick a 6 inch pacifier into Trump's mouth so he will be silent.

"Clinically obese," or "seriously overweight," or "a poor height-weight ratio." Use any of those.

Also, it is fair game to call him a liar, when it's easy to compare someone of his (supposed--though he lies about that, too) height with their known weights, and show how obviously he's pretending that his fat somehow, magically, is infused with "Trump ether" and weighs less than the fat of ordinary mortals! While regular fat can be weighed in pounds, Trump fat is like meringue -- it takes up a great deal of space but it weighs next to nothing....

How can we as a political force, party, movement, whatever condemn fat shaming and then engage in it ourselves?

This to me is hypocritical.

It may be emotionally satisfying to give Trump a "taste of his own medicine", but it will sway absolutely no voters, and worse, it gives him a pass on his own behavior. All he has to do is point and say "See, they do it too! They are doing it to me right now!",

We should nip this nonsense in the bud, as well as the ridiculous unsubstantiated cocaine accusations.

You do not beat the devil by becoming the devil.

It can be difficult for many people to differentiate hypocrisy and Horatian satire, two wholly separate concepts... though I'd have thought someone who consciously places the word 'writer' in an appellation would know the critical and relevant difference.
