North Carolina Gun Group Raffles AR-15 Rifle With A Picture Of Hillary Clinton

Source: Huffington Post

A North Carolina gun rights group plans to raffle off an AR-15 rifle, 1,000 rounds of ammunition and a picture of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

“Of course, we won’t tell you what to do with the photo,” Grass Roots North Carolina stated on the page created to promote the raffle. “But when we ran a picture of Hillary on the front of our newsletter, we heard it was very popular at the range.”

Money from the raffle, which will be held on Election Day (Nov. 8), will be sent to a PAC aimed at defeating Democratic lawmakers.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has, on at least two occasions, used the implied threat of violence when speaking about Clinton.

This is no longer something that can be ignored. They need to be monitored closely at all times.

but first let's see if we can just turn this state blue again.

this should be illegal i swear. it clearly encourages some itchy-fingered gun nut to go after the person - we all know there are people out there now, and thanks to the NRA they all have guns, who would kill her as soon as look at her. Case in point Gabby Giffords.

NC is a beautiful state. i work with wonderful, smart people, and even some of them will be voting for trump. since the republicans got their super majority it's going the way of LA, KS, MS, etc. i gotta get back to CA.

which I find crass and idiotic but how is it different than:

or any number of US presidents burned, lynched, stabbed in effigy?

That appears to be one man who is engaging in inappropriate behavior.

He does not appear to be an organized group of people promoting that behavior or raising money from it by conducting a raffle.

You're welcome.

How many Presidents have been 'burned, lynched, or stabbed?

The gun is the preferred way of 'taking down' a President.

selling ropes and knives with the implicit idea
of what to do with them?

There is a line between protest and incitement

and a difference between instruments of violence

Ropes and knives need time and proximity

Unlike other methods

So that as I see it is the difference
