Trump 'very proud' of role in birther theory

Source: The Hill

Donald Trump on Thursday said he was "very proud" of his questioning of President Obama's birthplace and forcing the White House to release the president's birth certificate.

"Well I'm the one that got him to put up his birth certificate," the GOP presidential nominee told NH1's Paul Steinhauser in a Thursday interview.

"Hillary Clinton was unable to get there and I will tell you she tried. And you look at her campaign and everybody knows it happened," Trump continued.

"I would say that pretty much everybody agrees with me, but she tried and she was unable to do it and I tried and I was able to do it, so I'm very proud of that."

I didn't think he could do it, but he's found a way to get people to stop talking about Alicia Machado...

In other words, Donald is very proud to be a racist. Very proud. I don't remember anyone asking for a birth certificate for any other Presidential candidate. But, hey, no one has ever run for President while black before.

Yeah

Pretty much everyone agrees with him..being a racist is something to be so very proud of, especially when your extreme white privilege won't allow you understand that what you did was racist.

geez

like any other person having this personality disorder, he is going to be proud of any and all of his behavior, and he is going to have an insatiable desire to be admired. Not to mention an extremely distorted sense of entitlement.

These are not characteristics of a person who would make a good elected official.

He is such a lousy racist. I am sickened by his bigoted supremacy. I wish he would be a minority for a year so he would feel how this whole mess feels.

his motive ws to debase Obama. There was no real need to demand a birth certificate. Tramp made himself King of the Bigots.

"Yes, I was suspicious, I was wrong, and I apologize" would pretty much put the issue to bed. But no. He has to double down and triple down and keep the focus on it.

...to openly discuss his disgust for Mexico, being a racist, of thinking that vaccines cause autism, his entire family of liars (Jr., Ivanka, and Melania), his desire to date his own daughter, his greed (money and gold toilets), his "high-energy stamina", of his African American (Omarosa), scam people, and to let casinos go bankrupt (like in Atlantic City).

Obama releases original long-form birth certificate
By Alan Silverleib, CNN April 27, 2011

..... "We do not have time for this kind of silliness," Obama told reporters at the White House. "I've been puzzled at the degree to which this (story) just kept on going."

"Normally I would not comment on something like this," the president said. But the country has "some enormous challenges out there" that it will not be able to effectively meet "if we're distracted."

"We're not going to be able to (meet those challenges) if we spend time vilifying each other," he stressed. "We're not going to be able to do it if we just make stuff up and pretend that facts are not facts. We're not going to be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by sideshows and carnival barkers."

.... Obama told a New York fundraising event that "part of what happened this morning was me trying to remind the press and trying to remind both parties that what we do in politics is not a reality show. ... It's serious."
