Barack Obama is now viewed more positively than Ronald Reagan was in 1988

Pollster.com's Charles Franklin was a little ahead of the curve Sunday morning when he pointed out that President Obama's approval rating right now is among the highest Election-Day approval ratings in recent history.

Franklin tracked recent survey results by party to evaluate Obama's approval, finding that, at 52.1 percent on average, he's viewed more positively now than Ronald Reagan was at the end of his second term, but not as positively as was Bill Clinton at the end of his.

On Election Day 2012, Obama was right at 50 percent, according to Gallup. For past presidents, we have to interpolate from poll numbers on either side of Election Day. But Franklin appears to be right: Obama's more popular now than was Reagan in 1988 -- or any modern era president in office at election time in the past four decades except Clinton in 2000 and Reagan in 1984.

Barack Obama is our Ronald Reagan. In fact he is better. He is truly going to be remembered as one of the best and most transformational Presidents in our country's history.

Who would have ever thought back in 1988 that a black man would not only be president today, but that he would be more popular than Ronald Reagan.

Prez O has all his marbles. And he hasn't been selling weapons to Iran and using the funds for an illegal war and drug running op in Central America.

POTUS in history. He was constantly underrated by people that hated him for his lineage and nothing more. THEY OTOH will NOT be remembered. Just a footnote in history for most of his detractors at best.

The GOP brand will be noted as finally fracturing apart into smaller groups that hate each other. They did it to themselves, like a pack of rabid dogs finally turning on each other.

Meanwhile we are stronger than ever, about to get a mandate and the Senate. Not to bad.

1) Horrendous budget defecits.
2) Bringing drugs into the inner-cities via central america.
3) Funding war criminals in central america.
4) Wasteful military spending.
and most importantly 5) Ignoring the AIDS epidemic and allowing the Talabangelicals to demonize the LGBTQ community for it.

Feel free to add more in a response if I forgot anything.
