Trump knocks GOP for gutting 'unfair' ethics panel as their number one priority

President-elect Donald Trump took a shot at his own party on Tuesday after news broke on Monday night that House Republicans had voted to gut the Office of Congressional Ethics.

On Twitter, Trump acknowledged that the office may be unfair to lawmakers, but he chided the party for seeming to make weakening the office its number one priority.

With all that Congress has to work on, do they really have to make the weakening of the Independent Ethics Watchdog, as unfair as it

Of course, this sort of reprimand is positively gentle by Trumps terms, as he didnt refer to any House GOP members as corrupt or losers.

after President-Elect Donald grabbed this opportunity to make himself look good over their bloodied bodies. Love it.

A disordered authoritarian president and Republican caucuses made up mostly of confused and angry authoritarian followers warring with a smaller number of more independent thinkers are going to be interesting.

Look for them all agree to slip it through later, of course, like maybe late night on Easter weekend.

Or insist that they keep it intact.

He simply didn't want them to take it on right this minute.

This was to generate headlines that make him look good, because the news hangs on his every tweet, and then spins it in the most superficially positive way possible.

he was mad that it was their first priority.

They need to cut my taxes first and create a law that will either
allow me to wipe away all my debt or have the government cover all my debt.

Had they done some other things first and then decapitated the OCE, he would not have any problems with it.

You know this was the first priority because there are so many known, let alone unknown, ethics violations involving Trump, his staff, his cabinet and everyone else in his political orbit just waiting to be brought forth on 1/21/17. No point in having a venue to discuss them.
