Booker: Trump spreading lies and 'propaganda'

New York (CNN)New Jersey Democratic Sen. Cory Booker says President Donald Trump and his administration are "repeatedly lying to the American public" and spreading "propaganda to mislead the public."

"A week in office and we have seen the President of the United States and his officials repeatedly lying to the American public and pushing out what could be called -- what we've seen in other regimes throughout history -- what can be called propaganda to mislead the public," Booker told CNN's Erin Burnett on "OutFront." "He needs to be called out on it, and we, as an American public, should not accept a president that routinely lies, blatantly, to the American people."

Asked if he agreed with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who called Trump a "delusional president" Thursday, Booker said, "I don't know his mental state. What I do know is he a liar, repeatedly so."

He added that he believes Trump is pushing an agenda "that is not in concert with honor or with the facts."

4. Ok, let's take him to the mat

on this. Call him out every time he lies, and don't couch it in namby pamby terms like "misleading" or "untruth". Call it a LIE!

Once the public catches on that he lies constantly, then it will be up to the repukes to disprove he has mental issues. Put the onus on the repukes to prove he is fit to serve. This is what they have done for eight years.

5. I think he believes he can create reality by saying things.

He used to go to the church of "power of positive thinking" Norman Vincent Peale. Failure is not an option. So the alternative is to speak positively. Problem with that is that the next step is to actually lie. After all these years, he believes that by speaking of things a certain way, he can make them happen or be real.

Yes he's mentally disturbed. But he's learned this way of bamboozling people and it's worked for him in the past.

Today when the Mexican President canceled on him, he quickly turned it into a mutual decision. Even though it was reported correctly first. In his world, though, it has become mutual. He will have it no other way going forward. Failure is not an option, so he rewrites reality.

7. Dems should shout YOU LIE !!! at Trump's State of the Union Address

If Trump is still POTUS a year from now, Dems should shout YOU LIE in in unison every time he utters a falsehood.

Seriously, they should do this.
