German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister Theresa May on Sunday blasted the executive order signed by President Donald Trump which places a temporary ban on refugees and has prevented citizens of seven Middle Eastern and African nations from entering the U.S. The chancellor regrets the U.S. governments entry ban against refugees and citizens of certain countries, Merkels spokesman said. She is convinced that the necessary, decisive battle against terrorism does not justify a general suspicion against people of a certain origin or a certain religion. Mays spokesman said her government would be raising concerns with the U.S. if any U.K. citizens were affected by the ban. The executive order caused chaos and protests at airports nationwide as foreign nationalsmany of whom are legal permanent residents of the U.S.were detained.

UPDATE:

Angela Merkel says fight against terrorism no excuse for U.S. entry ban

German Chancellor Angela Merkel told U.S. President Donald Trump that the global fight against terrorism was no excuse for banning refugees or people from Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States, her spokesman said on Sunday.

“She is convinced that even the necessary, decisive battle against terrorism does not justify putting people of a specific background or faith under general suspicion,” spokesman Steffen Seibert said.

He said the German government regrets the entry travel ban on refugees and citizens from seven Muslim-majority states, would review the consequences for German citizens with dual nationalities and would “represent their interests, if needed, vis a vis our U.S. partners”.

He said Merkel had expressed her concerns to Trump during a telephone call on Saturday and reminded him that the Geneva Conventions require the international community to take in war refugees on humanitarian grounds.

on Trump. We want them to do this, and we want them to do this a lot. So reward them. Give them the click, thus the ad revenue.

and how surprised I am about how they have written a few unflattering/unsupportive pieces about tRump. I really don't remember, but did they carry water so to speak for him before the stolen election?

However Murdoch has been at the self-promotion business longer than Drumpf and will do what is expedient to himself and his sons.
