Anti-Trump rallies are popping up around Maine today

Source: Portland Press Herald

At least three rallies, two of them impromptu, are being held across Maine Sunday morning by Mainers angered by President Trump’s ban on refugees and other executive actions in his first days in office.

At 10:30 a.m., protesters are gathering at Portland City Hall on Congress Street to call on Sen. Susan Collins to stand up to President Trump on issues such as the Affordable Care Act and Trump’s Cabinet nominees. That rally has been organized by the Maine People’s Alliance and other groups.

Protesters are also planning last-minute gatherings at the state’s two major airports, the Portland International Jetport and Bangor International Airport, as a symbolic gesture against Trump’s order banning refugees from entering the country. Neither airport is directly impacted by the order since they do not have regularly scheduled transatlantic flights.

The Portland Jetport rally, organized by the Progressive Women of Maine and other groups, starts at noon. It is aimed at “standing up to the executive order,” said organizers.

The MSM is waffling on both sides, the courts depend on the judges and
whether their orders are being enforced ignored overruled from the White
House, but RESIST gets attention.

The Resistance has only just begun. Perhaps the DJT Supreme Court
pick this week will give it a jolt of adrenaline?
