Trump Voters Shrug Off Global Uproar Over Immigration Ban

Source: NBC News

Many of President Donald Trump's core political supporters had a simple message on Sunday for the fiercest opponents of his immigration ban: Calm down.

The relaxed reaction among the kind of voters who drove Trump's historic upset victory — working- and middle-class residents of Midwest and the South — provided a striking contrast to the uproar that has gripped major coastal cities, where thousands of protesters flocked to airports where immigrants had been detained.

In the St. Louis suburb of Manchester, Missouri, 72-year-old Jo Ann Tieken characterized the president as bringing reason into an overheated debate.

"Somebody has to stand up, be the grown up and see what we can do better to check on people coming in," she said. "I'm all for everybody to stop and take a breath ? Just give it a chance."

History gave another person at the top those same lax conditions of "Just give it a chance." It resulted in 60 million dead.

I think we know where this is going. All indicators are that tRump is unstable and his new power is already going to his ego-maniacal head. Just as it went to another person's at the top. Wanna tell me what time period that was, you stupid selfish nitwit???

5. Sure...take a breath and review...

But don't suddenly yank authorization for legal green cards and visas while people are in the air!

If he'd had this reviewed and gave some notice, you'd not see the uproar, I'm sad to say.

That's the way DT does stuff. Instead of careful planning, he yanks the tablecloth out from under things and then expects people to sweep up the mess.

It's happened with this, and they're trying to do the same with healthcare. "Jus' yank it out, we'll fix it later..."

Meanwhile, people's lives are shattered on the floor without healthcare, or without a place to land...

Someone needs to revoke Trump's citizenship next time he's on Air Force One and just make him sit on the plane for six hours.

8. a typical trump voter wouldn;t care if it was proven that trump was a pedophile

and besides it wasn't trump voters that got trump elected...it was the democratic/progressive voters who didn't vote or voted 3rd party that allowed trump to score a electoral college win....a mere 71,000 votes total across 3 states would have kept him out

elections have consequences and not voting for the "lesser of 2 evils" gave us real evil....

There's a growing trend of getting knocked the fu*k out whenever they open their sh*tbag mouths.

We'll take care of reviving the democracy, it's probably for the best they stay out of the way...

12. I wonder what the admitted percentage of his support is now.

Some voted holding their nose. And all indicators point to repealing the ACA and Social Security. I bet that percentage is down to 30 something.

13. You're not going to reach core Trump voters any more than you will reach Confederate voters

The Breitbart party has moved far, far, far beyond anything that can be reasoned or negotiated with. Heck, it was easier for unionists and confederates to find common ground.

They all say it. Every Trump supporter. "Just give him a chance". It's like a creepy robotic thing they all do.
