Rick Perry calls on Mitt Romney to release tax returns

Source: AP

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Texas Gov. Rick Perry is calling on fellow Republican and former rival Mitt Romney to release his tax returns.

Perry said anyone running for office should make public as much personal information as possible to help voters decide.

Perry has released his tax returns dating to 1992.

Romney has come under increasing pressure from Democrats and Republicans to release more than the two years of returns he has promised to make public. He has released his 2010 return and has said he'll release the 2011 when it’s completed later this year.

Republican congressman and former presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) has called on presumptive Republican candidate Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) to release more of his tax returns to the public, according to Politico. In an interview, Paul said that he believes that it would help Romney politically to come clean and open his financial records to scrutiny.

..., critics and friends alike want to know the exact extent of Romney’s wealth, as well as where that money is and what it’s doing. Is it, as the Obama campaign has charged, languishing in an offshore account in a tax haven like Bermuda or the Cayman Islands? Or is the former governor in fact keeping his money in the United States, investing in American companies and living up to his billing as a “job creator”?

Also, I think someone really needs to ask Ms. Palin her opinion on the matter. In for a penny, in for a pound! After all, she was chosen over him, her opinion should be worth something.

the man is the only President ever to have his damn citizenship questioned, and even pulling out his long form birth certificate didn't shut up the wing nuts. Obama shouldn't have to document ANYTHING to ANYONE from this point forward.
