House Intelligence chairman denies evidence of Trump teams ties to Russia
Source: Washington Post
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes denied on Monday morning that there was any evidence from the intelligence community of contacts between Trump campaign officials and Russian operatives. “As of right now, I don’t have any evidence of any phone calls. It doesn’t mean they don’t exist. . . . What I’ve been told by many folks is that there’s nothing there,” Nunes (R-Calif.) said. Nunes contended there was no need at this time for a special prosecutor to investigate allegations of contact between Russian officials and Trump campaign aides. Instead, the Republican said that the “major crimes” that have been committed are leaking to the news media on the subject of Russia, as well as other accounts of what should be confidential dealings with the Trump White House, including calls with foreign leaders like the Australian prime minister. 4. Requires patriotic republicans, so far only one, Darrel Issa.
One, only one.
And his motives are fully self promoting due to the changing demo of his district, but at least he is saying it. |

7. I have no hope or trust
For the GOP.
Ufortunately, it is going to take a major Trumptastrophe to get them to remove him. Which is inevitable, but the damage to the country will be immense. Which is exactly what Putin is counting on. |

14. Nope, not Issa either.
I'll try to find it, it was a twitter link, but Issa basically said no sense having a special prosecutor unless someone is under suspicion of crimes, and that doesn't exist yet.
There is not a single patriotic Republican with dignity and morals in this government. They are burying the Russia story, and will likely succeed since Dems have no power. Devin Nunes and Richard Burr should have already resigned for their talks with the WH to suppress the story, but apparently obstruction of justice and ethics violations are totally find for Republicans now. |
