Pence Enlisted to Save Safe GOP Seat

Source: Political Wire

Sources told the Washington Examiner that Vice President Mike Pence “would record a call urging Republicans in Kansas’ Wichita-area 4th district to get out and vote for state Treasurer Ron Estes, who is locked in a tight battle with Democrat James Thompson.”

“The White House political office, led by political director Bill Stepien, has joined what has become a party-wide effort to save a seat that President Trump won by nearly 30 points in November.”

The big advantage in Kansas is how hated Sam Brownback is.

The GOP must be doing some polling and their own numbers look bad for them to jump in the race this late. The national Dems haven't invested. Even Dkos didn't have this seat on its radar until the last couple days, so this is all local energy and enthusiasm.

The GA one has gotten a ton of attention but this one is almost ignored.

Why isn't the DNC pushing this?

If there's enough of a turn out, their fraud can be overcome. The largest block of eligible voters are those that choose not to vote, the candidate that can mobilize their vote would win easy.

Plus it asked me 3 times to make it monthly, or leave a tip. What the hell is a "TIP?" That's just a bigger donation !!

I hate stuff like that..
makes what should be a pleasant, useful, feeling good endeavor taste a little sour..

Ah well...

Now I will get three emails a day from ACT BLUE..

Wish I had the money. Wish I had a bank backing me up for my next 10+ years of life. For some of us, it's just not going to happen. Oh I know, we could always cut our internet service, turn our temperatures down to 65 and cut back on a meal every day; but the reality is, it's just not possible to donate to all these politicians across the land that need to get the word out.

Those of you that can throw out a handful of dollars to help, I salute you. At some point money isn't going to make the difference anyway. It has to be a very good candidate, and they have to be in a district or state that actually has dedicated voters that want to make a positive change for the country.

We'll see.
