The fact that the daily mail is discredited is good, because now conservatives have to stop citing it as a source for other fake news.

Its almost like blaming a rape victim.
And there are enough DUers who continued to repeat this "story" simply because of who the subject was.

because the Democratic President's First Lady had done some cheesy photo shoots before she married her husband. Denunciations from Capitol Hill, condemnation from numerous pulpits, vitriol from talk radio and the Internet, demands for impeachment and/or deportation...I guess it's psychic spill-over from some less-dystopian universe where the Good Guys won.

not the $150 million she wanted. Too bad, not enough to make her escape. She will always be remembered as the first lady with naked photos posted for anyone to view. What an achievement. They do make a charming couple, though. They certainly deserve each other.

She had a visa that allowed her to work as a model. Being an escort would have been a violation that would have got her deported.

the soft-core porn pics that appeared in a foreign men's magazine that appeared in the NY POST. She was on a tourist visa when that photo shoot happened...in Manhattan.

She was working illegally. https://apnews.com/37dc7aef0ce44077930b7436be7bfd0d
Melania Trump modeled in US prior to getting work visa

WASHINGTON (AP) — Melania Trump was paid for 10 modeling jobs in the United States worth $20,056 that occurred in the seven weeks before she had legal permission to work in the country, according to detailed accounting ledgers, contracts and related documents from 20 years ago provided to The Associated Press.

The details of Mrs. Trump's early paid modeling work in the U.S. emerged in the final days of a bitter presidential campaign in which her husband, Donald Trump, has taken a hard line on immigration laws and those who violate them. Trump has proposed broader use of the government's E-verify system allowing employers to check whether job applicants are authorized to work. He has noted that federal law prohibits illegally paying immigrants.

Mrs. Trump, who received a green card in March 2001 and became a U.S. citizen in 2006, has always maintained that she arrived in the country legally and never violated the terms of her immigration status. During the presidential campaign, she has cited her story to defend her husband's hard line on immigration.

The wife of the GOP presidential nominee, who sometimes worked as a model under just her first name, has said through an attorney that she first came to the U.S. from Slovenia on Aug. 27, 1996, on a B1/B2 visitor visa and then obtained an H-1B work visa on Oct. 18, 1996.

The documents obtained by the AP show she was paid for 10 modeling assignments between Sept. 10 and Oct. 15, during a time when her visa allowed her generally to be in the U.S. and look for work but not perform paid work in the country. The documents examined by the AP indicate that the modeling assignments would have been outside the bounds of her visa.

Those color pics of her with the Trump plane were much later than the black and white series.

I'd seen an earlier story based around a date she was said to have appeared in some magazine, but on close inspection it looked like someone had got wrong which edition was involved. This seems to come from proper documents seen by reliable sources.

But the point remains that working as an escort would be seen as a breach of her visa, and would damage her reputation.

There have been allegations that "Trump Models" worked as escorts, and of course, Trump just got an escort trademark in China...so, there ya have it. Conflation, perhaps? Assumption? Who knows?

This article, fair warning, is from a CONSERVATIVE source, no friend to the left. But there's some salient information in there, nonetheless:

http://www.redstate.com/diary/imreontheissues/2016/04/28/pimping-donald-trumps-relation-trump-escorts/

I honestly don't think anything could damage her reputation more than it's already damaged. On judgment alone, even if she lived like Mother Theresa ... look who she picked as a husband...!

And if you pose as a gold-digging hooker for a photo shoot, kinda hypocritical to argue that a paper calling you that ruined your reputation.

Interesting how you are willing to vouch for Melania's immigration history, however, even without evidence of her immigration papers.

There are plenty of people in violation of our immigration laws who don't get deported.

She had on a fur-lined metal bikini, and was also photographed in the altogether on a fur throw.

I don't recall seeing any pics of her torturing kids, though. Yet, anyway.
