Unless someone gets 50%, which at least one source said has never happened, there is a run off of the top two. I heard MSNBC speaking of how if terrorism, it could help Le Pin, but she is polling at about 23% - second highest. For at least the last month everyone has expected the run off to include Le Pen and either Macron or Fillon, but the Communist Melechron is the one surging. Either Macron or Fillon poll at over 60 in a second round vs Le Pen. I do not know if any second rounds with Melechron have been polled. Though unlikely, that could be a disaster.

A gunman killed one police officer and wounded two others before being killed himself in an attack on the Champs-Elysées in the heart of the French capital Thursday evening. The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility.

FWIW; last year I flew through about a week or two after another Paris attack. Didn't see anything notably different.

I go to Greece in a couple of months. It seems every time I fly, I see more and more people with guns around. And dogs. Lots and lots of dogs.

and each guy looks like they have no sense of humor.

when I walked in the airport one of the military immediately asked for my passport and proof of flight.

And he looked me over big time.

All I could look at was this huge automatic he was holding.

I've been going there for over 20 years so even remember their old airport with the huge tank outside. Greece is a country where all the men serve in the military (maybe women too by now but I don't think so) and they ALL seem to have that scowling thing down pat. Once again I'm going to be explaining how the person with the most votes doesn't win the White House. I'll be wearing my Don't blame me, I voted for Hillary button

From the article:

Mr Cheufi was convicted in the early 2000s of attempted murder in the shooting of two police officers and served several years in prison.
More recently the intelligence services identified him as a potential Islamist radical, French media say.

Only several years in jail for trying to murder police? Things for their upcoming election on Sunday seem seriously up in the air.

Isis: Goddess of health, wisdom, marriage.

ISIS will be eliminated by Prez Trump. You'll be amazed at how very very fast he'll eliminate them. So fast.
