Former acting Attorney General Sally Yates, who was fired by the Trump administration earlier this year for refusing to defend President Donald Trumps executive order banning travel from multiple Muslim-majority countries, will testify about Russia during an open congressional hearing next month.
The House Intelligence Committee announced on Friday that Yates will appear alongside former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan at an open hearing on May 2 to discuss Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
During her time as acting Attorney General, Yates reportedly talked with members of the Trump administration about her concerns about Michael Flynn, the disgraced former national security adviser who was fired after it was revealed that he lied to the public about his contacts with Russian government officials about sanctions.

(10,157 posts)The idea of May Day began in Chicago when here were labor demonstrations. The local police opened fire with MACHINE GUNS...this was at the end of the 19th century, think of those god awful things that killed millions during WWI. That's what politicians and local police chose to use against union workers.

I grew up in Philly during the '60s and '70s, a city with a number of very strong eastern European communities, and it was "May Pole" time all the way (despite this being a very strong union town). Every year in grade school in gym. Maybe the other was more a Chicago issue...

The question is whether Nunes is going to bow out from even appearing (since he was supposed to step down from directing the probe) and how the hearing will be run. I know that Adam Schiff is chomping at the bits.
