Disapproval of President Donald Trump Grows in Latest WSJ/NBC News Poll

Source: Wall Street Journal

Americans have become increasingly dissatisfied with President Donald Trump as he nears his 100th day in office, with views of his effectiveness and ability to shake up Washington slipping, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll finds.

More than half of Americans—some 54%—disapprove of the job Mr. Trump is doing as president, compared with 40% who approve, a 14-point gap. That is a weaker showing than in the Journal/NBC News poll in February, when disapproval outweighed approval by 4 points.

While Mr. Trump still draws overwhelming support from his own party, he risks losing the nation’s political middle ground. Among independents, disapproval rose markedly, to 54%, while 30% approved of his job performance. That 24-point gap compares with a 9-point margin of disapproval in February.

MSNBC host badgered him many times for a more positive answer about trump after Rendell said that trump's first 100 days has been a failure. "Well don't you think he has improved?" yadda, yadda.

The press is still not close to telling the American people how terribly Trump is governing the country, how clueless and how unmotivated he is to get at facts, etc.

That is because the "press" has no idea how the government operates either. It's like the blind leading the blind.

I remember in 2009 - 2010 during the ACA hearings and legislative markups, how the "press" kept insisting that a particular draft from one committee in one chamber of Congress (despite the fact that multiple committees in both the House in the Senate were working on versions) was somehow "the bill" (i.e., the "final" one ready to magically go to the President at any moment).

So this type of ignorance and conscientious stupidity continues from them.

And I've really learned how STUPID so many members of the media really are, as evidenced by so many obviously false statements. "Trump really became president last night" (after missile attack on Syria). . . . Another comment I JUST read in the NYT about Paul Ryan's "wonkiness." BULLSHIT. He didn't even have a functioning plan for healthcare, and nothing he says is true, yet the press STILL treats him as some kind of fucking guru. These are but 2 examples of a flood of shit that passes as 'news.'

Nearing 100 Days, Trump's Approval at Historic Lows 4:08

Nearly two-thirds of Americans give President Donald Trump poor or middling marks for his first 100 days in office, including a plurality who say he's off to a "poor start," according to results from a brand-new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
NBC News

Forty-five percent of respondents in the survey believe Trump is off to a poor start, with an additional 19 percent who say it's been "only a fair start." That's compared with a combined 35 percent who think the president's first three months in office have been either "good" or "great."

Trump's 100th day in office takes place on April 29.
...................

Trump's overall job-approval rating stands at 40 percent — down four points from February. It's the lowest job-approval rating for a new president at this 100-day stage in the history of the NBC/WSJ poll. ...............
