Donald Trumps representatives are giving width berth to would-be ally Carter Page.
A December 2016 letter reported by Fox News on Saturday shows presidential transition team lawyer Donald McGahn setting very clear termsPage must stop calling himself an advisor. The Daily Caller first reported on this letter, though not the contents, in March.
This essentially comes from the top. Remember, McGahn is currently White House counsel. Other Trump aides certainly havent been afraid to publicly distance themselves from Page, an oil industry businessman.
Heres an April 22 tweet from Dan Scavino, White House Director of Social Media, and the social media honcho for Trumps campaign. Hes backing up claims by former Trump campaign manager Jason Miller and press Secretary Sean Spicer that Page wasnt a major part of the team.

While most presidential campaigns have been offering lists of their high-profile advisers, Mr. Trump had repeatedly declined to reveal his, offering only that he developed his views about world affairs from listening to experts on television, and that he liked to come up with his own ideas.
That changed on Monday when, in an interview with The Washington Post editorial board, he shared the names of five advisers who signed up to be on his team: Joseph E. Schmitz, Gen. Keith Kellogg, Carter Page, George Papadopoulos and Walid Phares. "

It is so hard keeping up with all the lies!

(9,106 posts)They're not good liars, but they're prolific. You'd think they'd be good at it, because of how much time they spend doing it, but no.
Their low 'lying skill-level' is reminiscent of dRump's skill level at golf. He spends a ton of time golfing, but still sucks so bad at it that he constantly has to cheat.

(46,773 posts)You'd think they'd put a little more time into their lies, but they tend to be careless and impulsive, like young out-of-control children. Trump is the absolute worst liar I've ever heard. He doesn't even try to sound plausible. Love your golf analogy, sums up Trump perfectly.

(22,993 posts)drumpf and his lawyers and twist and spin and lie all day, but Page, Manafort, Flynn, Sessions played major roles with the campaign and with the russia collusion and no amount of denial will change the facts. Although these jerks have no sense of reality at all, it's just what's going to get them the most at any second, regardless of any facts at all.
