Trump to meet Russian foreign minister Lavrov on Wednesday - senior U.S. official

U.S. President Donald Trump will meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the White House on Wednesday to discuss Syria and a wide range of international issues, a senior U.S. official said.

It will be the highest-level contact between Trump and the government of Russian President Vladimir Putin since Trump took office on Jan. 20.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said on the agenda would be Syria as well as U.S.-Russian relations and other global issues.

The meeting will take place at 10:30 a.m. ET in the Oval Office and will be closed to press, according to the White House.

Lavrov was already set to be at the White House on Wednesday to meet with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. But Trump’s sudden last minute decision to set up his own meeting with Lavrov, which was not on the schedule, suggests that the change is related to James Comey’s firing.

You would probably never know it. I am sure you could find a good respected career prosecutor or state AG etc... who has been working cases in the US for 20-30 years and has a nice record. I am sure they can find a few that have made some serious mistake in the past or taken dirty money etc... Putin probably has a nice list of them that he shared personally with Sergei who will now share that list with Trump tomorrow. We would never even be able to find out.
