President Trump during a new interview refused to discuss his tweeted warning to former FBI Director James Comey.
Well, that I cant talk about, Trump told Fox Newss Jeanine Pirro in the clip released Friday. I wont talk about that. All I want is for Comey to be honest and I hope he will be, and Im sure he will be, I hope.
Trump also denied that he demanded Comeys loyalty to him during a January dinner, something that has been reported by The New York Times and The Associated Press.
No, I didnt, he said when asked if he gave that request. But I dont think it would be a bad question to ask. I think loyalty to the country, loyalty to the United States is important."

Trump: I dont think its inappropriate asking for FBI chiefs loyalty
BY MARK HENSCH - 05/12/17 07:08 PM EDT
President Trump says in a new interview that there is nothing inappropriate about asking for his FBI directors loyalty.
I dont think its inappropriate, number one, he told Fox Newss Jeanine Pirro in an interview segment released Friday.
Trump then denied making such a demand of James Comey before the former FBI directors firing.
No, I didnt, he said. But I dont think it would be a bad question to ask. I think loyalty to the country, loyalty to the United States is important.
You know, I mean it depends on how you define loyalty, number one. Number two, I dont know how that got there, because I didnt ask that question.
The New York Times reported Thursday that Trump demanded that Comey pledge his loyalty to him during a January dinner.
