Trump-Russia probe now includes possible cover-up, Congress is told
Source: McClatchy DC
Investigators into Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential elections are now also probing whether White House officials have engaged in a cover-up, according to members of Congress who were briefed Friday by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. That avenue of investigation was added in recent weeks after assertions by former FBI Director James Comey that President Donald Trump had tried to dissuade him from pressing an investigation into the actions of Trump’s first national security adviser, retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, members of Congress said, though it was not clear whom that part of the probe might target. Even as members of Congress were mulling over the expansion of the case into possible cover-up, and its reclassification from counterintelligence to criminal, the scandal appeared to grow. The Washington Post reported Friday afternoon that federal investigators were looking at a senior White House official as a “significant person of interest.” The article did not identify the official, though it noted that the person was “someone close to the president.” Read more: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/congress/article151565947.html Bye Jared!!!!

12. Kushner's father is a fraud...sent to prison for it. And Jared vigorously defends him. Christie was
Christie was the prosecutor, which is probably why Christie never made it to an appointment in the administration.

2. If Ryan and McConnell...
...are still defending Trump on Monday, then the rumors of them arranging to launder foreign money through a Super PAC, might be more then rumor!!!

9. McCONnell will defend tRump till political death. He is deeply complicit I think. Ryan less, some?
1) He blocked transmitting to states that Russians were hacking to compromise the election, until there was nothing they could do. 2) He got payback from tRump who appointed his wife to a cushy cabinet post. 3) He has dragged his feet and encouraged Burr and Nunes to slow down the investigations and committees. 4) tRump held his first post-election (pre-2020) rally in Kentucky to send McCONnell a horse-head message about his base there which may be the strongest tRump base in any state. Ryan may be complicit. I read that he used some material that hackers provided (publicly?). He has not acted to hold tRump back and has aided and encouraged Nunes. |

It just appears fairly obvious this has roots in the house and senate.

Thank goodness there are people out there who don't put party above country. Unlike the spineless evil duo of McConnell and Ryan.

And Ryan too: and this time Ryan wouldn't be pretending when washing dishes.

"In 2005, he was convicted of illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering, and served time in federal prison." Interesting mix of crimes, huh? |

14. What about Don Mcgahn?
Trump's lawyer?
He is a close friend of Trumps's. He was also involved with Tom Delay as his ethics lawyer and he was as sleazy as they come. I think Trumps's Russia connections have been going on for years, that's why there was no release of his tax returns. And Kutcher may be involved, but I think this even predates his involvement with the family Mcgahn was supposedly told by Flynn of his Turkey investigation and nothing was done for 18 days. And wasn't he the guy Sally Yates spoke with? |
