Trump told aides firing Flynn was a mistake

Source: Politico

Two days after firing Michael Flynn as his national security adviser in February, President Donald Trump told several aides and friends he should have kept him instead.

Trump, several people close to him say, sometimes appears to question decisions even after they’ve been made. He told New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie that he could still be labor secretary even after he’d publicly named Alexander Acosta to the role. He privately told former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani he could potentially still name him as attorney general after he’d offered Jeff Sessions to the job.

But the Flynn situation has been different, several officials and advisers said. “I was kind of stunned,” one person said. “I asked him. You fired him already. What are you going to do?”

Trump has grown obsessed with defending the tough-talking 58-year old general, repeatedly telling aides and associates in private that Flynn was a “good man.” One adviser close to Trump said he’s heard Trump defend the general using the exact words described in reports of memos written by former FBI director James Comey recording his conversations with the president — and that Trump has told people inside the White House he wished the investigation would go away.

Flynns under investigation so hes certainly fishing and casting his lures out with the hopes some idiot would take the bait and give him immunity but I dont think he was deep enough in with Trump to have anything on Trump.

6. No, Drumpf saw a soul-mate and wanted him around.

They are the same type of bullying, short-tempered wanna-be sharks (mob types, not the aquatic species) who leveraged other people's hard work and money to get to their positions. Drumpf felt comfortable with Flynn because they thought alike.

Flynn was a stupid man's idea of a military genius. Drumpf is a stupid man's idea of a business genius.

that Flynn was deep in with Trump to have anything on him that might lead to an impeachment of Trump.

... if Flynn turns on him.
The is just self-serving BS puffery to keep Flynn from spilling the beans.
Trump is so simply transparent and selfish.

That's why this conspiracy has held so far despite being phenomenally large for a conspiracy.

I think Flynn is holding the key that will open the flood gates on tRump and other biggies. He will be naming names...I think that is why tRump regrets firing him, to have kept him closer to his chest. Once the tap opens they will all be spilling out and pointing fingers.

11. Flynn is about to rat out Trump . . .

In addition to this discovery, we also find that Trump is telling folks he wants to hire Flynn.

Why?

Simple.

Flynn has some heavy shit on Trump and he's about to sing to the FBI like a cage full of canaries. Trump knows it and he's trying to suck up to Flynn, in hopes of shutting him down.

This flattery and puffery may have worked on people with whom he was trying to to business but it won't work with Flynn who is under serious threat of jail time, fines, and general ruination. Given the choice between going with Trump or with the FBI, Flynn will go with the FBI.
