Montana governor: Gianforte lying about reporter fight
Source: The Hill
Montana Gov. Steve Bullock (D) on Thursday accused the GOP nominee in the state's House special election of lying about a physical altercation with a journalist that ended in an assault charge against the candidate.
Bullock blasted the Republican, Greg Gianforte, while calling on all Americans to "restore civility in politics and governing."
"It is unsettling on many levels that Greg Gianforte physically assaulted a journalist and then lied, refusing to take responsibility for his actions," Bullock, who defeated Gianforte in his 2016 reelection bid, said in a statement.
"One thing is clear: no matter what happens today, the actions of Gianforte do not reflect the values of Montana or its people," Bullock added.

Well, Governor Bullock, if the people of Montana elect this out of control loon, then his actions do indeed reflect the values of of Montana and its people, or enough of them to elect this abusive, entitled, nasty excuse for a human being. At least with respect to the election of the president, the majority of the people did indeed support the better candidate. Only with Russian interference and the electoral college did the election go to the other guy. States don't have that excuse. If Montanans vote for Gianforte, then, sorry, gov, you and your fellow Montanans deserve what you get. If that turns out to be the case, let's hope your residents, and the rest of RW America, sees the light in 2018 and beyond.

(3,194 posts)Just curious. I guess they figure the Governor has very little power, but where it comes to D.C., it's repubs all day.
