Scoop: Trump tells confidants U.S. will quit Paris climate deal

Source: Axios

President Trump has privately told multiple people, including EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, that he plans to leave the Paris agreement on climate change, according to three sources with direct knowledge.

Publicly, Trump's position is that he has not made up his mind and when we asked the White House about these private comments, Director of Strategic Communications Hope Hicks said, "I think his tweet was clear. He will make a decision this week."

Why this matters: Pulling out of Paris is the biggest thing Trump could to do unravel Obama's climate policies. It also sends a stark and combative signal to the rest of the world that working with other nations on climate change isn't a priority to the Trump administration. And pulling out threatens to unravel the ambition of the entire deal, given how integral former President Obama was in making it come together in the first place.

45 thinks he's having an argument, when really, he's doing nothing more than engaging in contradiction. It's fucking disgusting.

I don't even have to watch the vid ... I could probably act out most of the scene off the top of my head, even though I've barely seen it in the last 20-some years.

This entire spiel ... I'll be able to nail with 90% accuracy for probably the rest of my life ... thanks to SO many times of lifting the needle on my 'Matching Tie and Hankerchief' LP, whilst baked out of my mind in my college dorm room, circa 1988 ...

This one is another I know by heart ... both parts ...

He didn't get the King's welcome in Europe--like he did in Saudi Arabia. The Europeans hurt his fee-fees. So the incompetent bully just might pull out of the Paris Agreement.

he is going to have to pull out the 25th and fast. If Twittler is out, with investigating continuing, Pence will be forced to play nice until he is indicted for obstruction and collusion.

Let the doors be locked, let the conference venues be closed to Americans, let the world move on without us.

And when Pruitt or any other administration butt-boy shows his stupid mug at the next COP, they can all tell him to go fuck himself.

He and this administration deserve nothing less.
