Source: BET

A 31-year-old Washington man has been arrested and charged for the death of a 20-year-old man from the Quinault Tribal Nation.

On Saturday, Jimmy Smith-Kramer and friends were celebrating his birthday at Donkey Creek near the Humptulips Campground when a white Chevy pickup truck started driving erratically around the group, according to witnesses.

The driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was accompanied by a 27-year-old woman, a 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman in the truck, reported KING5.

I haven't seen any word of arrests in this case anywhere else yet. Good that the a-hole has been caught!

This is sickening and frightening. I think we are seeing a rise of hate crimes that might better be termed "Trump crimes". Trump has given the worst element of our society a new sense of legitimacy and entitlement. Trump has not made any attempt to extinguish the fire of hate that he has lit for his own benefit.

He appears to have been having the time of life trying to frighten people who had no defense against his wild driving.

Hoping other charges can be held against his companions who did not turn themselves in and identify the murderer.

This is news we needed to hear. It's good to know this degenerate racist is safely behind bars.

Thank you.

A 31-year-old Hoquiam man arrested in a Saturday’s fatal hit-and-run at a campground near Humptulips will likely face first-degree manslaughter, vehicular assault and hit-and-run charges, according to Grays Harbor County court staff.

James D. Walker was arrested Tuesday and booked into Grays Harbor County Jail. He appeared in Grays Harbor County court on Wednesday afternoon, and a judge set bail at $750,000.

In a news release issued Wednesday morning, Dave Pimentel, undersheriff at the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office, wrote: “The investigation revealed the identity of three passengers in the vehicle: a 27 year old Hoquiam woman, a 29 year old Hoquiam man and a 30 year old Hoquiam woman. These people were interviewed and the prosecutor will be reviewing their knowledge and involvement in the incident for consideration of further charges.”

Two men were hospitalized Saturday after a truck backed over them at the Donkey Creek Campgrounds. Authorities say it was intentional. Quinault tribal member Jimmy Smith-Kramer, 20, was taken off life support at Tacoma General at about 10 p.m. Sunday night, according to Steve Robinson, a spokesman for the tribe. The other man, Harvey Anderson, 19, was originally taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital but is now at Tacoma General due to complications from his injuries, Robinson said.

Wed May 31st, 2017 5:30pm

It was standing room only in the Grays Harbor County District Courtroom in Montesano before James D. Walker of Hoquiam was walked in by Grays Harbor County Jail staff.

Walker, 31, has been charged with second-degree homicide in connection with the incident at a campground in the Donkey Creek area north of Hoquiam on May 27 in which two young men were run over by a truck, killing 20-year-old Jimmy Smith-Kramer of Taholah and injuring 19-year-old Harvey Anderson of Aberdeen.

Walker also is being charged with vehicular assault, hit and run-death, and hit and run-injury.

At the preliminary hearing, Grays Harbor County District Court Judge Kyle Imler set bail at $750,000.
