The rear label declares that the 71-year-old New Yorker belongs "in a mad house, not the White House."
"We knew that a Trump label was going to be controversial, but it's been selling extremely fast," said Luis Enrique de la Reguera, chief executive of brewery Casa Cervecera Cru Cru.
Launched in May, the beer that misspells "amigo" to poke fun at a bad American pronunciation of the Spanish word for friend, surprised its creators. The original batch of 1,200 bottles and 400 liters on tap sold out in the very first week.................

Mexican and U.S. brewers have reinvented Donald Trump as a gun-slinging mariachi to promote a new beer celebrating cross-border cooperation.
Decked out in a sombrero, a frowning Trump adorns the label of the new "Amigous Cerveza" craft beer. Its makers thought up the name as a rebuke of the U.S. president's divisive campaign trail rhetoric against Mexico and his pledge to build a border wall.
The real estate tycoon turned out to be good for business..........................

(1,366 posts)When I read the OP title I was expecting to read about some local brewery putting out this beer and I would seek it out.
Turns out that the "New Mexican-U.S. Beer" isn't from around here, like Albuquerque or Santa Fe but is a new Mexican beer from Mexico. My Mistake. But thanks for posting and I'll just have to go south of the border to find this...
