Gianforte calls for civil politics after assaulting reporter

Source: MSN/Associated Press

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Montana's incoming congressman is calling for civility in politics as heads to Washington with a conviction for assaulting a reporter.

Greg Gianforte will be sworn in next week as the state's only congressman following the shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise.

He spoke to The Associated Press Friday in his first national interview since winning last month's Montana special congressional election.

The Republican technology entrepreneur pleaded guilty this week to assaulting Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs the night before the May 25 election.

Of course, Gianforte would see no irony or hypocrisy in lecturing the American people on civility.

But people like him can do what they want - like he did.

I'm sorry, but the right-wing current stream of "can we all get along" is pure theatre.

and stinking hypocrisy......this fuck should be in jail....if I body slammed someone for just asking me a question....I WOULD be in jail right now. Two levels of justice in ameriKKKa for two classes of people...the 'franchised' and the non-franchised....the white male/female with big money/prominence and the AA male/female...the male and the female....just bullshit, it's all hypocrisy and bullshit in this country....along with many AA having to endure police brutality and murder.......and the police walking free completely or facing a slap on the wrist for getting caught doing murder or abuse.
