President Donald Trump on Thursday said he did not make nor does he have any "tapes" or recordings of his conversations with fired FBI Director James Comey.

"With all of the recently reported electronic surveillance, intercepts, unmasking and illegal leaking of information, I have no idea ... whether there are "tapes" or recordings of my conversations with James Comey, but I did not make, and do not have, any such recordings," Trump wrote in two tweets.

I can't take it anymore...I never thought so many people could actually be this stupid. The fact that his base, after all that nonsense we have seen in the first few months, still overwhelmingly support this buffoon is just astounding to me. So yeah, Trump looks like a complete fool and idiot for pretending/threatening he had tapes...but the rubes will still love him. It makes no difference at all.

I think some find his lying bothersome, but depending on the supporter, I think their priorities are: personal financial well-being, cutting taxes, maintaining white privilege and "traditional" values, keeping democrats out of power.
