Trump may visit U.K. this month

Source: Axios

Dave Lawler 1 hr ago

London's Sunday Times reports that — after reportedly putting off a state visit due to concerns over inevitable protests — President Trump may make a smaller-scale visit to the U.K. this month.

The Times reports, "It is understood that any visit would be confirmed only 24 hours in advance so anti-Trump protesters did not have time to disrupt his visit," with a U.K. government source saying:

<< "We expect him to go to his golf course (in Scotland). We are aware he might want to see the prime minister. (The Americans) haven't requested that he comes and we haven't invited him, but we are aware it might happen." >>

Our thought bubble: A visit from the U.S. president is traditionally a chance for the British P.M. to emphasize Britain's stature on the world stage. But Theresa May has been severely weakened by a string of crises, and a visit from Trump, who is deeply unpopular in the U.K., is probably not at the top of her wish list.

He sneaks into cities and has his vehicle park very close to the door so he has minimum exposure to protesters.

They obviously are living in an alternate reality.

And, frankly, this sounds like another excuse for him to go on another over the top expensive golf outing, "courtesy" of the American tax payers.

there would DEFINITELY be a side trip to his Scottish course, you can bet on that! Of course the Secret Service and everyone else would have to STAY at his overpriced "resort" and the Trump crime family would AGAIN be stealing from the American taxpayers.

You'd think by now they could impeach the fat turd simply on the emoluments clause. He's only violated it 100,000 times by now. The Trump crime family is costing this country SO MUCH FREAKING MONEY it isn't even funny! If the Obamas did anything REMOTELY close to this the GOP would be bursting blood vessels left and right. But not a peep. Tumbleweeds rolling, crickets chirping. The First Family of Crime continues on it's merry way.

to reinforce all the springs to accomodate his heft. Plus, they do not want Maleria's skank ass in that royal carriage. The Scotish people loathe him, too, espescially the ones who live close to his golf course.

And yes, he can expect massive protests if citizens are aware of his visit, and especially if UK taxpayers' money is spent on the visit.

Not our favourite person.

dignitaries, etc. I have been to two of them, one in 1985 and one in 2000. You are screened months in advance, and the invitation comes months in advance.

This jackass doesn't understand that he can't just decide at the spur of the moment, "Oh, I think I'll go to England"... who the FUCK does he think he is?

My brother in law was honored for his fund raising for the injured veterans. The invitation was extended months in advance, with a list of do's and don't. My sister shopped for just the right dress and hat. Both of them (now deceased) had more "class" than any of the tRump family. I imagine lady Ivanka will go along for the photo ops with the Queen and royals.

Last month Obama stayed at I think Harry's house & helped with a charity event. They interviewed and spoke about the friendship the Queen & the Obama's have. Reporter asked something about trump visiting the Queen & Harry said (not exact quote) 'The Queen doesn't like fools.'

If trumps ever around her, I hope she lets ALL the corgis, untrained puppies run through the mud & jump on him!
