Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) on Sunday urged his colleagues not to mix healthcare reform and tax reform while pushing an alternative healthcare bill that he co-authored.
"Let's first talk, Chris, about why they've had such a problem passing any plan. They are trying to combine tax reform with healthcare reform," Cassidy told host Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday." "Don't mix the two. We don't mix the two."
Cassidy, a former doctor turned lawmaker, has proposed his own bill with his Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine). Both Republican lawmakers have expressed reservations with the Senate bill to repeal and replace key provisions of ObamaCare.
Cassidy on Sunday expressed doubt that President Trump can keep his key campaign promises to "cover all, care for pre-existing conditions, eliminate the individual and employer mandate, and lower premiums."

(10,097 posts)It's a massive redistribution of wealth using healthcare reform as a label so that's what the corporate media will parrot to the consumers.
Peace
And they decided to get the $$$ for the tax cuts by looting Medicaid. And of course rolling back the small Obamacare tax on high incomes.
Sorry boys, the people figured out your scam.
Now, will those same people who voted puke last time do so again? By rights these people should have stopped voting puke when raygun was starting to cut their throats financially, and they haven't yet as the GOPee has imposed austerity step by step, so my hopes are not high this time.

(5,801 posts)Don't give them any ideas. That's probably where they go next. Although maybe they can't because they are trying to pass their garbage through reconciliation, i.e. without any Dem votes in the Senate, so they need to make their handouts to the rich "revenue neutral"?
I'm sure if they could just hand out the tax cuts and add it on to the debt and deficit, they wouldn't hesitate to do so. The "party of fiscal responsibility" my ass.

You want a death panel lite....................check
And you want the disabled and the poor, and the middle class, to get no tax breaks, and give it to the rich that want to keep you in power to have your death panel lite legislation...................check

(128,877 posts)If not then STFU Cassidy. As I noted in another thread about Mclame, we need 3 of you to vote "no" and there's only 1 definite "no" while Turtle adds goodies for the other potential "no"s so they vote for it.
