The White House just posted the emails of critics without censoring sensitive personal information
Source: Vox
The White House just responded to concerns it would release voters sensitive personal information by releasing a bunch of voters sensitive personal information.
Last month, the White Houses election integrity commission sent out requests to every state asking for all voters names, party IDs, addresses, and even the last four digits of their Social Security numbers, among other information. The White House then said this information would be made available to the public.
A lot of people did not like the idea, fearing that their personal information could be made public. So some sent emails to the White House, demanding that it rescind the request.
This week, the White House decided to make those emails from concerned citizens public through the commission's new website. But the administration made a big mistake: It didnt censor any of the personal information such as names, email addresses, actual addresses, and phone numbers included in those emails.

And still you Trump supporters stand silent...maybe because it is not you who will receive the threats.

(21,916 posts)Trump's administration is a mess. He hasn't hired enough people. Those he's hired are uninformed and ignorant. We don't have ambassadors around the globe. His lawyers don't know how to spell or when to shut their mouths. There isn't any policy position on any issue. His son and son-in-law have been given positions for which they have zero experience or knowledge. His staff is at each others' throats. The public messaging is constantly in conflict. It's a mess.
Trump is a fraud and a completely incompetent fool. He's also an idiot.

But this! I'm sure they are well aware of the behavior of Internet trolls ... hell, the pResident is himself a famous Twitter troll! Never mind some of the people who work for him... This was deliberate.
When somebody is physically harmed as a result of this "mistake," they'll shake their heads sadly and spout nonsense about "nobody could have foreseen such violence, which the pResident would never condone..." yadda yadda yadda.
Makes me glad I stopped bothering to write emails to these .... people.

(12,448 posts)Per Mike Pence's spokesman:
"These are public comments, similar to individuals appearing before commission to make comments and providing name before making comments, Marc Lotter, press secretary to the vice president, said. The Commissions Federal Register notice asking for public comments and its website make clear that information including names and contact information sent to this email address may be released.
No, you moron. You don't release personal information on a website. Ever. A six year old knows that.
They are responsible for any harm that may come to those whose information was made public. The Deplorables are salivating.

Henry II didn't call for the murder of Thomas Beckett, but he suggested it.
The Trump administration isn't calling directly for its critics to be harassed and maybe subject to violence, but they sure are suggesting it here by publishing personal identifying data

(22,651 posts)for example- trumps deplorable on twitter marked Jewish peoples names with brackets & had their Nazi frog icon follow trumps tweets by bot-_instantly_ posting a bigot tweet right with any trump tweets.
another example- of Republican hate tactic was Palins gun-targets on D elected officials, that was flashed hundreds of times on news shows and fox constantly. We all know what happened because of that Palin crap ALLOWED BY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.
another example- is the Republican funded subtitled muslim mocking movie they shoved on the middle east as a youtube video. That caused outrage & protest & led to destabilizing a country & death of an American diplomat.
People can end of dead because of Republican backed political tactics.
