Congressional Budget Office Postpones Release of Latest Health-Care Bills Analysis

The Congressional Budget Office has put off releasing its analysis of the latest Republican health-care bill, further delaying the Senate’s consideration of the bill to repeal and replace Obamacare. The Senate Budget Committee announced on Sunday that the CBO’s analysis of the bill’s estimated cost and scale of insurance coverage would not be released on Monday as originally planned. No reason was given for the delay, and no new timeframe was provided for when to expect the analysis. The news comes after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced on Saturday that lawmakers would hold off on considering the bill in light of Senator John McCain's recent surgery.
