An article called for John McCain to just die already. A GOP official responded: Amen.

A member of the Republican National Committee in Nevada apologized after retweeting an article that begged for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to die.

Diana Orrock, a national committeewoman for the Nevada GOP, shared a story headlined “Please Just F‑‑‑ing Die Already.” In retweeting the piece, which was published on Medium, Orrock wrote “Amen.”

Several hours after posting the now-deleted tweet, Orrock apologized to McCain and to the Nevada and national GOP, calling the ailing senator “an American hero” — and her own post “disrespectful.”

Fox bought the concept of this show from the Dutch. They built a village and stocked it with attractive, middle-aged men and women who would try to create a New Society from scratch and survive for a year...and be televised twice a week. Every month, three people would be voted off the show. It devolved into a bacchanalian madhouse, where the male contestants fought with each other all day and screwed the female contestants all night, almost instantly. Fox pulled the plug after twelve episodes.

in the piranha tank.

actually, they behave more like
piranha in the wild.

you should see how they react if you
throw one piece of dehydrated sausage in the water. they all attack it at once.

scatter a bunch of small pieces?

they create a disturbance so large that you would think you
were at an old fashioned lobster boil.
You can even hear the squealing of the imaginary lobsters as
the bits are devoured.

But I won't be upset once he's gone in one way or another. His career in politics has been more negative than positive for America. He should have been gone after the Keating 5 Scandal, but his war hero, kind-but-stern grandpa act fools enough people into ignoring what a sack of shit he is.

but it would have been appropriate to suggest that he retire already. He's long past his expiration date. It is not chronological age either, some people can be sharp and functioning until 90, but McCain has been pretty fuzzy for a long time now.

I agree he has milked the "war hero" persona for far too long.

There's no salvation or forgiveness in public appologies in my book. It's a way to say something offensive and have the evangelical base appeased by asking forgiveness.

Eat it, Diana.

I might have been 12 or so at the time and recall thinking he was a real asshole.

He has always struck me as someone who is superficially principled but something of a coward. He talks a lot but doesn't do much of anything. I lost all respect for him during the 2008 campaign when he allowed that incompetent abomination Sarah Palin to be unleashed on us.
