Senate Republican holdouts to meet Wednesday to discuss reviving Obamacare repeal-and-replace plan

Source: Politico

Updated, 3:23 p.m.: A group of Senate Republicans who opposed earlier plans to repeal and replace Obamacare will meet on Wednesday evening to try to hash out their differences, senators said.

GOP leaders are still pushing for a way to advance a health bill next week even after two different repeal plans fell apart. Key Republican senators left a health care meeting at the White House sounding more optimistic that they could revive their bill to dismantle and replace the Affordable Care Act.

"We’re discussing that," Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas) said when asked whether some version of the Better Care Reconciliation Act was coming back. "I’m more optimistic that that would be the case. But if there’s no agreement, then we’ll still vote on the motion to proceed but it’ll be to the 2015 just-repeal bill."

They are going to take it, next week provably.

So your average idiot doesnt realize we are all on ACA, but we are.

These guys hate Obama, they hate taxes and they really hate us liberals.

Count on them taking away your healthcare, at which point I hope this nation goes FUCKING BERSERK.

right?

B. the other half or two oppose it because they are afraid of voters, BUT arent they more afraid of the Koch bros who have told them do this or else?

Dont you think they think they can overcome the voters with money?

I just posted YOUR Link to make my point

You see, I believe this was all avoidable but people who said Hillary couldnt be trusted had to act like children.

We are going to be harmed, greatly, by the GOP. Probably gonna take my Medicare and SS.

AT which point I hope we all go berserk.

The only realistic path they have that will be fraught with problems is to embrace the ACA by using the PR route of saying "We hear you and we'll be the ones to fix Obamacare and make it great, better than the democrats." Even if that isn't their goal they can sway a lot of easy opinion that way while fixing and sabotaging at the same time.

But the master manipulators of Republicanism are long gone. They're a shadow of what they once were as we're in a place where Ryan and McConnell are called legislative geniuses.

They are still trying to get enough votes (50) to even bring the bill to the floor next week.
