John McCain to return to Senate Tuesday for health care vote

Source: CNN

(CNN)Sen. John McCain, recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, will make a dramatic return to the Senate Tuesday to cast a critical vote on health care legislation.

McCain's office announced Monday night he will return Tuesday. His return will amount to a surprise to most Republicans, who expected him to miss the crucial vote and return to Washington at a later date. But he could help the GOP deliver a critical vote to begin debating health care legislation, which is on the verge of collapsing.

"Senator McCain looks forward to returning to the United States Senate tomorrow to continue working on important legislation, including health care reform, the National Defense Authorization Act, and new sanctions on Russia, Iran and North Korea," his office said in a statement.

The Arizona Republican underwent brain surgery earlier this month and announced last week he has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

I hope John McCain's last- or near last- act is not one of assisting TRUMP in effectively killing hundreds of thousands of cancer patients. That would truly be a sad piece of irony.

I wish I were wrong. I did call 16 senators today and got hold of 4 of their staffers. Tomorrow McCain is on my list.

If they pass this crap I vote for a total overthrow of the GOP and any way possible at this point. If women get their health care taken away it won't be pretty and I am not just talking about eyebrow pencil!

McCain is all about defense budget, veterans, foreign policy, etc. Health care is not a big issue to him. Plus, he mainly votes party, like a good soldier would. That's why he's so popular. He only bucks the leaders for his special issues, like the defense budget.

that there was no difference between the republicans and the Democrats, perhaps will understand now that there is a difference, and elections do matter.

Every Democrat running for Senate in those critical swing states lost to the incumbent, establishment, republican in those states, and most of those Democrats were progressive.

America made its bed and now we will all pay the consequences

Hint! It's between four and seven.

Now sell one and pay back the insurance. He has the means, unlike those he condemns to the death panels. Remember those!

That's the other curse of McCain. Palin. Thanks! He helped fuck up America!

The only question is whether McCain is a yes vote on other options assuming the legislation clears a vote to begin debate.
