Rep. Scalise discharged from hospital weeks after shooting, beginning rehabilitation

Source: The Washington Post

By Dana Hedgpeth July 26 at 12:08 PM

Rep. Steve Scalise, who was wounded six weeks ago when a man opened fire at a GOP baseball practice in Alexandria, Va., was discharged from MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

MedStar Washington said Wednesday that the House majority whip was discharged a day earlier and will begin intensive inpatient rehabilitation. The hospital also said in a brief statement that he is “in good spirits and is looking forward to his return to work once he completes rehabilitation.”

The gunman, James T. Hodgkinson, a 66-year-old unemployed home inspector from southern Illinois, died after the shootout. Scalise and four others were injured in the incident.

Now, can McConnell try to repeal some gun control...so Scalise can hobble in there on crutches and vote for it while people clap?

And I hope he will lose his congressional seat to a Democrat in the next election.

about Rep. Scalise injuries.

I would predict that this isn't his last hospitalization due to ongoing complications from his bullet wounds.

I would also bet that his life will never be the same after his bullet wounds.

And finally I would say he better stay on the taxpayer paid insurance he has because his pre-existing condition(s) will haunt him if the republicans manage to kill Obamacare.

We would have been discharged within days no matter how our recovery was going. I had a friend who was discharged from the hospital 4 days after open heart surgery with a BP of 60/80

like average WORKING people would. Time to force these loafers to get the exact same "healthcare" as others. See how fast single payer would pass. What makes them so special, that they have great healthcare, yet keep the rest of us wanting?

So happy that his medical expenses will be fully paid by taxpayers, and he won't have to resort to a GoFundMe to save his life. Nope, no worries about his medical bills bankrupting him and destroying his family. Nice!

whether, as he lay in the hospital bed, the thought ever crossed his mind that thousands of innocent Americans suffer gun-related injuries every year, in part because of the unchecked proliferation of guns people like him have worked to bring about.

He's previously shown himself to be a typical Evilangelical. He doesn't care, because he's sure he's part of his god's elect.
