President Obama politely humiliates Trump over health care failure

Source: Shareblue

By Oliver Willis | JULY 28, 2017

President Barack Obama celebrated the survival of Obamacare with a polite press release, which stands in contrast to Donald Trump's vindictive tweets after he and his party were humiliated.

President Barack Obama celebrated the survival of his signature health care law, as Donald Trump and the Republican Party licked their wounds after their humiliating failure to repeal Obamacare.

The popular former commander in chief took the high road, despite the attempt by his unpopular successor and the Republican Party to cut Medicaid by over $700 billion and cut health insurance from over 22 million people in the middle of the night.

A statement released by Obama spokesman Kevin Lewis pointed out that the Affordable Care Act remains the law of the land “because of everyone who mobilized, organized and made their voices heard.”

It's not at all about humiliating he-who-cannot-be, but about America. Who WE are.

because he mocked the fucking bigot idiot prick at that dinner for implying Obama was not born here.

Trump deserved it but had Obama known trump would then vow to kill his legacy and kill everyone who voted for him, he would not have done it.

President Obama will go down as top 3 of all time, was and is loved by the whole world other than the deplorables and some russians.

Trump is despised and hated by the world.

"Trump is despised and hated by the world." << He brought this upon himself. This is why he's so envious of Obama and trying to undo his legacy. Agent Orange can't even hold a candle to O.

ER. I imagine Obama has ulcers over this.

For such a classy, dignified, gentle person to have caused this filthy backlash must be the most painful thing in his life. Of course, without Russis and some other interventions, tRump would have never succeeded. And who could have seen it coming. Plus I've read tRump had been considering a Presidential run for years.

In hindsight though, it looks a huge miscalculation by Pres. O. Also, he always gave Americans too much credit ..... that is, he believed we are better than we are, in my opinion, and that someone like tRump would never garner enough support to get into the white house.

this prick lives for revenge and to destroy people, to this extent!

Now I have known a lot about the prick for a long time, I would know that but I am a cynical person.

Obama is such a great man, but he is black, so they had to destroy him, you know, America. Or is it "murika"

...it was just a little gentle kidding, not even rude in the strictest sense. Obama said a few things about Trump that night, but it was all in a fun/friendly way. Trump deserved to have his head handed to him, but it wasn't like that at all. I watched the show recently and I was amazed at how gentlemanly it was.

At that dinner Trump was seething angry, and probably would have challenged Obama to a duel, if this were the 1700's.
Trump is just a small, evil and thin-skinned person who has -zero- sense of humor.

kthat's gotta sting (and cause a tweet storm).

I watch very little TV news, but caught a quick shot of Turtle's face when it went down in smoke. OMG was I loving it! He is as despicable as Trump and I can't wait for the day when Kentucky gets smart and gives him the boot.

Besides, it will take a very strong Democratic President and an overwhelming majority in both houses of Congress to clean up this ongoing trainwreck.

Both the policy and the men behind each. Imperfect, but well thought out policy vs. grandstanding idiocy with no realistic plan or solutions.

Just as the Republicans still - after decades and decades - working themselves up into a foaming cocktail of bile and fury when they mention Bill Clinton and his Teflon persona, so Republicans will be exactly the same when thinking about Obama or Hillary in 2050 or 2070. If the US still exists, of course.
Any baby born today will be able to be a Professor of Trumpology for this is one of the future careers that doesn't exist yet.
Depressing, No?

People now are already thinking of the Obama years as some sort of golden age. At least you're lucky in having him as a memory. A genuinely good man between 2 of the most unpleasant individuals possible.
