LINCOLN On his farm north of Albion, Art Tanderup says hes used no-till farming to build up his soil, reduce erosion and, ultimately, increase yields of corn, soybeans and rye.

It would ruin 13 years of no-till farming, said Tanderup, a former teacher and a leading member of the anti-pipeline group Bold Nebraska.
He was the first Nebraska landowner to testify during the scheduled weeklong hearing to determine whether the controversial pipeline is in the public interest of the state.
