Poll: Half of Republicans would back postponing 2020 election if Trump proposed it

Source: The Hill

Slightly more than half of Republicans say they would support postponing the 2020 presidential election if President Trump proposed it to make sure only eligible American citizens can vote, according to a new survey.

According to a poll published by The Washington Post, 52 percent of Republicans said they would back a postponement of the next election if Trump called for it.

If Trump and congressional Republicans proposed postponing the election to ensure only eligible citizens could vote, support from Republicans rises to 56 percent.

Pollsters found 47 percent of Republicans think Trump won the popular vote.

Didn't think so. What a ridiculous question, unless it was designed to show how stupid Republicans are.

100% of Democrats would oppose it. Well, probably not 100%, but pretty close. Independents I wonder about.

noticed the (D) this year for my Mom and Dads names, both were registered voters & never missed an election.- they passed away years ago. listed with BD, and an ancient "EV1" (old dial up service) email address.

Apparently someone rakes through old registered voter lists.

They would be happy with an election having only one candidate for each office, pre-approved by the Party

A strong majority of Democrats would cancel the 2016 presidential election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump if it meant President Obama could serve another term, a new poll found.
