New York Daily News slams Trump's North Korea rhetoric: 'Atomic wedgie'

President Trump’s hometown newspaper slammed the president for his severe warning to North Korean president Kim Jung Un, with the newspaper’s cover showing Trump wearing a cowboy hat and riding a missile surrounded in flames in a reference to the film "Dr. Strangelove."

“Atomic Wedgie,” the headline reads in all caps.

The newspaper cover also comments on the Trump team “dousing” Trump’s threats against the country, as members of his administration have attempted to downplay the North Korean threat.

“President Trump’s reckless talk of unleashing hell on North Korea led his secretaries of state and defense to try to tamp down on tensions Wednesday — but North Korea said it was already planning strike on U.S. territory of Guam,” reads the newspaper’s cover.
