Report: Warrants Issued For White Supremacist Featured In Vice Film

Charlottesville police have reportedly issued warrants for the arrest of Christopher Cantwell, a white supremacist prominently featured in a Vice News documentary.

Cantwell is wanted for his involvement in the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia last weekend, where a counter-protester was killed when a man affiliated with white nationalists allegedly drove his car through a crowd. The warrants are for illegal use of gases and injury by caustic agent or explosive, the Boston Globe reported.

Charlottesville police did not immediately respond to TPM’s request for confirmation.

Cantwell posted a tearful video on YouTube earlier this week after apparently learning there were warrants out for his arrest.

The Aryan Brotherhood I'm sure will take good care of you in prison. I was watching that Vice video and wondering, does this guy have a concealed weapons permit? And if so, how? And if he doesn't, why is he not not in jail, given that there's a scene of him taking out probably half a dozen concealed weapons and showing them off to the young female vice reporter. Anyone who has been around people doing coke can tell you that.

I have never done coke - thankfully not because I had a heart condition and it would have killed me (didn't know that at time). But I was a college athlete and around a lot of rich kids who did a lot of coke in the 1980's and as an adult saw many people doing it at parties.

Just like when you are sober and you watch someone drunk and you see how they act, when you are a sober person and watch people doing cocaine, you learn and observe the signs. His sniffing, his movement of the jaw and mouth (often because of the rubbing of the coke on the gums) talking fast and erratically.

According to the bio on Christopher Cantwell on the Southern Poverty Law Center website, he has a history of substance abuse and my guess is that he is abusing and binging again. I also think he is highly unstable.

Don't know what the recent update on this man is, but he is possibly suicidal, may overdose or go on a violent rampage or suicide-by-police mission while being arrested.
