ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A leader of a New Mexico military-style Christian sect is facing dozens of child sexual abuse charges in a case that authorities say is connected to widespread abuse by the religious commune.

Peter Green of the Aggressive Christianity Missions Training Corps in the remote community of Fence Lake, New Mexico, faces 100 counts of criminal sexual penetration of a child, according to a criminal complaint filed August 15. Sect members Deborah Green, Joshua Green and Stacey Miller also face various charges ranging from child abuse, bribery and not reporting a birth.

Miller faces one count each of intentional abuse of a child age 12-18, bribery of a witness and not reporting a birth.

In a statement, the group said the allegations "are totally false" and similar to others the group has faced over the years.

There were Warren Jeffs settlements in all states surrounding us, and in northern Mexico, but none in NM.

The ones who do try to make their heaven on earth full of underage tail are not appreciated by local authorities, who are generally unimpressed by their version of god.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — The Latest on a New Mexico military-style Christian sect facing child abuse charges (all times local):

2:15 p.m.

A sheriff says authorities carefully planned a raid of a New Mexico paramilitary Christian sect amid a child sexual abuse investigation to avoid potential violence.

Cibola County Sheriff Tony Mace told The Associated Press on Tuesday deputies surprised the sect's Fence Lake, New Mexico, compound during church services to make sure everyone was located in one place.

Mace says authorities were concerned armed sect members might try to stop deputies' attempt to arrest leaders on child abuse and child sexual abuse charges.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A former member of a military-style Christian sect says that for years she's been trying to draw attention to the New Mexico group whose leader has been charged with dozens of counts of child sexual abuse.

Maura Alana Schmierer told The Associated Press on Monday that she had been interviewed by investigators recently about the Aggressive Christianity Missions Training Corps.

Schmierer left the sect in the late 1980s. She said she's "been trying to expose them for years" and appeared in a National Geographic Television show documenting her experience.

well, not really. Isn't kind of a commonplace anymore that someone who professes to be so perfect in public is often a real looser in private.

It looks like these folks don't know what a shower/bathtub is, and those critters nesting on the men's faces, children would be scared being in the same room with them.

The things some do when it's their "religion" is beyond belief, those poor kids, I hope they get far away from these people and get the help needed to recover from this nightmare.

Of course they said the allegations are totally false. The likelihood that any of these scum are going to do this...
