Montini: Kelli Ward to keynote anti-Medicare group meeting

EJ Montini: The organization believes Medicare and Medicaid are "evil."

I’m wondering if Arizona Republicans who favor Kelli Ward over Sen. Jeff Flake realize how closely she is tied to a wacky, conspiracy-prone physicians group that believes Medicare and Medicaid should not exist and are, in fact, “evil.”

The organization is the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons.

Ward is so much the group’s darling that it recently announced she will be a keynote speaker at the AAPS’s annual meeting in October in Tucson........................

What the AAPS believes

The AAPS has over the years promoted a number of screwy, debunked ideas: That HIV doesn’t cause AIDS, for example. Or that abortion causes breast cancer. Or that vaccines cause autism....................

Seems Ward loves Sheriff Joe also!

1. I wonder how all those old white people in Arizona would feel about losing their Medicare?

Most of them retire there for the low cost of living. Having to pay For their own healthcare would devastate them financially.

to elect this woman. Ignorant and bigoted, that's the ward voter. And I doubt the local teevee news or newspapers will provide adequate coverage of her crackpot positions. All she has to do is spew enough hatred and repeat how "conservative" she is--in ads paid for by the mercers, no less--and she's a shoo-in.

Sure hope I'm wrong.

"Oh yeah? We'll certify ourselves, then" groups. Similar to the group Rand Paul created to certify himself as an opthalmologists because he didn't like the mainstream agencies.

It's location in Tucson is one of our city's greater embarrassments.

The organization is full of certifiable nutbags who managed to make it through medical school. It is one of the reasons physicians make some of the most cruel politicians in America. Kinda like Kelli Ward. She'll fit right in.
