WH: Trump has done more for bipartisanship in 8 days than Obama in 8 years

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by NH Ethylene (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).

Source: The Hill

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday that President Trump in the last eight days has done more for bipartisanship than former President Obama did during his two terms as commander in chief.

"This president is negotiating on behalf of the American people, exactly what he was elected to do. The idea that you keep trying to distort this into a bad thing is exactly why this president was elected,” Sanders said in response to a question about the president’s upcoming meeting with Democratic leadership.

“They were sick and tired of business as usual, they wanted somebody who would break up the status quo, that would bring people from both sides of the table together to have conversation. This president has done more for bipartisanship in the last eight days than Obama did in eight years," Sanders added.

Anyone who believes Trump's latest con, as voiced by known liar Sarah Sanders, might be interested in a bridge he also wants to sell.

learned from her fat daddy how to lie with a straight face. Too bad the dems did not take the same route as the gop did with President Obama. They refused to even have conversations with him about ANYTHING, or else threatened him. Now that this lard-ass has her share of air time, what will she do when the great Two Scoops is thrown out of office, either by impeachment or prison? She certainly is not attractive enough for a TV job.

I remember *clearly* on MSnBC there was a Republican guest who praised Obama during the ACA negotiations as listening intently taking their concerns seriously while bashing the Democrats in Congress for "partisanship".

This is bullshit. Trump has been in office how long before he decided to be bipartisan? That MSNBC interview was the FIRST MONTH. (I figured out I can use caps lock for capital n)

This is Trumpian bullshit.

First, it brings up Obama for no apparent reason.

Second, its from a pathological liar who doesn't care how outrageous the lie is. Huckabee is just a spokesperson.

It's almost like Trump agreed to be bi-partisan just to show up Obama again. Is that why he did it FFS? Just throwing it out there.

and begging the Democrats for help is not bipartisanship.

It's simply giving up trying to deal with republicans and begging the Democrats for help.

And it's hilariously entertaining. Because Chuck and Nancy are gonna give him an ass whoopin' like he's never seen before.

When Obama tried to warn people that Trump was unsuited for the Presidency, only Democrats agreed.

But now, contempt for Trump is bi-partisan. So thanks for that, Donald!!

on ANYTHING. Bipartisanship requires cooperation from both parties. The Democrats are willing to present their case to Trump and work with him. That's the difference.

about our Democratic legislative leaders cutting deals with Trump, the ONLY accurate headline would read:

DEMOCRATIC LEGISLATORS have done more for bipartisanship in 8 days than REPUBLICAN LEGISLATORS did in 8 years.

It wasn't Obama who didn't reach out to the other side!
