Republican lawmaker loses job for saying running over protesters is a movement we can all support

Source: Think Progress

“Nobody cares about your protest,” the post says. “Keep your ass out of the road.”

DiSanto published that post, which has since been deleted, less than a month after an alleged neo-Nazi used his vehicle to murder a counter-protester and injure 19 others during a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The tactic has also been used by militant groups like ISIS.

DiSanto’s post largely escaped media scrutiny until this week. But following a number of reports about it, on Tuesday, her employer, Keller Williams Realty, announced it had severed ties with DiSanto, posting on Facebook that “...due to recent events, Lynne Disanto is no longer associated with Keller Williams Realty Black Hills.” The post won’t immediately affect DiSanto’s standing in the legislature, however — House Majority Leader Lee Qualm (R) told the Associated Press she’ll stay on as House Majority Whip despite the controversy.

As recently as August 15, Fox News’ website was home to a page glorifying running over protesters. A video on the page, which was republished from the conservative Daily Caller, was headlined, “Here’s A Reel Of Cars Plowing Through Protesters Trying To Block The Road.”

They want protesting to be dangerous so no one does it.

They want us to be docile so they can empty the treasury for their profits.

They don't want us to vote.

They don't want democracy.

2. South Dakota, where killing innocents is applauded.

I wouldn't drive through that state or MO right now, couldn't pay me to go to either one. I'd go hundreds of miles out of my way to avoid either one.

7. Good! Glad she lost her job. Perfectly appropriate consequence.

May she and her ilk have many more.

13. Patton Oswalt said it best.

After a RW realtor got axed when he made fun of Patton's wife dying:

“I’m afraid Peoria Realtor is going to be the first in a long line of Trumpers who will realize, on the other side of firings and divorces and black eyes, that Trump’s Teflon Umbrella covers Trump and no one else. His cabinet and staff are going to learn that as well.”

10. Does this dumbass realize she will not be in the inner circle

of the oligarchs if they take over. As a woman she will be thrown back into the house and expected to dote over the boys and ignore the girls accomplishments.

Thanks for having your priorities straight there DiSanto. He DiSanto, that's an EYE-talian name....she has a brown person name.

11. The real estate firm she worked for also kicked her to the curb because of this.

She's another idiot who just found out that free speech can be extremely expensive if you're a moron.

12. One day, Republicans will be protesters and they will then abhor and chastize this very same talk.
