House Dem: 'We've seen a lot of contact' between Trump campaign and Russians

Source: The Hill

BY MALLORY SHELBOURNE - 12/10/17 11:41 AM EST

Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) said Sunday that the House Intelligence Committee has “seen a lot of contact” between President Trump’s campaign and Russia during the course of its investigation.

“You know, we’ve seen a lot of contact. We’ve seen a desire to get dirt, a desire to work with the Russians, a desire to contact the Russians,” Himes told NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

“The question is — was there some form — and it is a question, I don’t want to prejudice the outcome — was there cooperation?”

Himes, who sits on the panel, said it matters if there was “follow up” between Donald Trump Jr. and the Russian lawyer who promised damaging information about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. “So the question before us now is what happened afterward. Was there follow up?” Himes said.

The question should be why were there so many overtures made to Russia in the first place.
It is obvious to anyone paying attention that the Trump organization would not have been installed in the White House without help and Russia gave it.
How much were top Republican lawmakers paid or threatened with to certify the results and co-operate going forward?

Adam Schiff (ranking member) is very talented and brilliant but all the Democrats are stymied by the ReThuglican foot-dragging and obstruction.

No ReThug takes even so much as a pee without Ryan's permission or blessing.

All these rat-bastards need a one-way trip to the gallows for treason.

The news media has botched every recent "bombshell" gotcha story trying to force it. This has pretty much tarnished anything that will be reported from here on out and everything will be viewed as partisan. Mueller's team is already being painted as partisan with the two new revelations this last week.

Our best bet now is they uncover some other federal crimes like they have with Manafort and Flynn, most likely will be in the financial realm or lying to the FBI.

At least not in the sense of an agreement in which Trump says "Hey, help me win, and in exchange I'll do X".

I think Trump has been laundering Russian money for years, so there's no need for Trump and Russia to "collude". They already knew he would do what they wanted, so there was no need for an active agreement - all they did was to fight hard on the social media/fake news/leak front. It's possible that we could get some incriminating information about those activities that would tie knowledge of them to Trump campaign staff, but that isn't going to hurt Trump personally. If Mueller's investigation is able to pull enough threads and look at Trump's finances the way he did Manafort's, then that is ridiculously dangerous to Trump.
