Poll: Trump favorability declines among those who say Fox is their most trusted news network

Source: the hill

By Avery Anapol - 12/14/17 12:58 PM EST

People who say Fox News is their most-trusted news network have been losing confidence in President Trump, according to new data from Suffolk University.

Trump’s favorability rating has dropped 32 points between June and December among respondents who said they trust Fox over any other news network. In June, the number was 90 percent, and in December, just 58 percent, according to the data first reported by The Washington Post.

In June, 40 percent of all voters said they view Trump favorably compared to just 34 percent in December.

The president has appeared on the network more than a dozen times since taking office, though he has avoided being interviewed by other outlets................................

Trump’s support among Fox News viewers plunges 32 points in stunning new poll

Trump is clearly a failed president — and no amount of propaganda can hide it.

Fox News, known for its rightward slant, has consistently gone to bat for Donald Trump, both during the campaign and through his first year in office. But a new poll from Suffolk University shows that, since arriving at the Oval Office, Trump’s numbers have cratered — even among loyal Fox viewers.

In January, people who rated Fox as their most trusted network held a 90 percent favorable view of Trump. Now, that figure stands at 58 percent — a staggering 32-point drop.

The souring of Fox viewers on Trump is not for the network’s lack of trying to shield him from any and all allegations of incompetency or wrongdoing.

Since the beginning of the Russia investigation, for instance, Fox commentators have viciously attacked the motives and impartiality of the FBI and of special counsel Robert Mueller, despite the fact that there is not a shred of evidence of misconduct by Mueller, and that he and Trump-appointed FBI director Christopher Wray are both Republicans.

Plus, have to be able to afford cable. Plus all those people who listen all day at work or in the car and can't watch TV by the hour.

If Trump has lost the Faux News watchers - who are getting a steady diet of how great he is - he's got real problems.

suggests viewers are still losing confidence even with "optimal" lies about this administration.

I'd like to see a good poll of confidence among its viewers in Fox itself to see how that's doing.
